That might be why it's damp, it might be condensation built up in the shed. I had that problem with mine. I fitted two air vents which cost me less than £2 and it seems to have fixed the problem.

You could always cover them in varnish after you have painted them too.

      Oooohhh possibly jane.

Altho on the ceiling there are two big wet streaks but cant see any damage to the felt on the roof. But the felt feels wet all the time unlike on the other shed so im thinking it may be poor quality and i mat need to recover it.

I have ordered two very other the top floral prints a white and pink one for one of them and a blue/green one for the other one

Slightly cath kidston esq im gonna go kitsch

Have you got a tree hanging over your shed roof or anything like that? Mr Jane's workshop roof leaks all the time because of the hazel over the top.

Yeh there is nextdoor lilacs tree

I made sure i trimmed the branches back so they didnt rub on the roof

Would that dripping on it effect it then?

If it's poor quality felt then probably. I've got the same problem with my allotment shed and don't know how to fix it either and I used the thin stuff as that's all I had at the time. I want to paint the inside white but need to fix the leaking roof first. A guy on the allotment gave me a long lecture on how to re-felt the roof after I had done it (it's always the way!) and reckon I will put another layer on in the spring once the winds have died down a bit up there.

Yeh that was my plan. Thought i would get some better quality felt and felt over the top but was going to wait until the shed has dried out after winter

Had no problems during summer only this last month

The papers for the flower pot men arrived today so after xmas i will start on them

Attempted to learn to knit last week with some wooden needles i got for free in a mag. It didnt go well then tried with 3mm plastic needles that i had in a pack and was finding it really hard and they kept bending

But had some 5mm metal needles delivered today and i have got the hand of casting on and what ever the most basic stitch is called

Im well chuffed need to learn something else now

I always use metal needles Dips, the others flex to much.

You've done well with that but I can't tell from the picture what stitch you have used. Have you tried one row knit stitch and one row purl. That will give you the basis for just about anything you knit.....it's called stocking stitch. :)

              Ahhhh thanx for that sheal

All i have done is knit stitch i think i have no idea how to purl yet lol

Ah im so not down with the terminology yet. Basically i have been putting the needle in the stitch from front to back and and yarning over anti clockwise and pulling through and off the left needle.

So that is all that is so far lol

I found the wood ones didnt flex but created too much friction causing it harder to slide the yarn

To purl you bring the yarn to the front and then put the needle in the front of the stitch from the back, so the needle is pointing towards you. A sort of reverse of what you are doing now. If you get stuck with that I'll take some pictures for you. :)
