It's not beyond the realms of possibility that UKIP will have enough seats to form a coalition with the Tories in May :sofa:

That would just be a Tory government again though wouldn't it. It seems to me that have of UKIP are Tory defectors, and the other half are Thatcherite Tories anyway.

      1980s, here we come.

I might vote U kip, but only to give Labour and Conservative a kick up the arse.
I dare say if U kip were to win an election, (very unlikely), they wouldn't last long.

However, I do think the way our elections are run are pretty undemocratic.

I don't know. I'm thinking that UKIP would want their 'pound of flesh', and since they only have one policy, it's not hard to imagine what area of policy that 'flesh' would come from.

The answer is culture, I have no problem with people of all nationalities coming to this Country, but when our basic culture starts changing I feel threatened!!!:paladin:

As to Muslims, I think its inevitable that at some point in the future they will not just take over the UK, but probably most of the world.
Yep, you're right there, this isn't just a problem here, other Countries are facing the same dilemma!!

Unfortunately they don't only have one policy any more. They have one primary policy, which is obviously to cut us off from the world without making sure we have trade agreements and treaties in place to keep us all right. But they have secondary policies too. They want to introduce fracking on a grand scale (this is all on their website by the way), and they want to introduce retro style 'grammar schools' where the kids won't really learn anything required in today's world like IT or engineering etc. They also don't just want to isolate Britain, they want to isolate communities within Britain. For example, if you want a council house, you and your parents will have to originate from the area you want it. That's pretty harsh if your dad comes from one county in England, your mam from another county in England, but you were raised in a third county in England. I think I'd rather have the BNP than UKIP. At least the BNP are open about the racist, fascist and generally seriously twisted ideas.

Of course, I was being flippant. But as far as I'm concerned, this is the area of policy that will be addressed should they gain some kind of power.

Did you like my Tesco example? British culture is changing, and most of the changes are not coming from "The Muslims". The supermarkets have made a massive change to our culture. Its not just where we now buy our food from, it is what we buy, and what we eat, and when we eat. It's changed when we shop, how often we shop. They tell us how we should live. The guide our lives through relentless marketing, following ongoing study of us.

Or if not the supermarkets, then its our friends across the pond, the yanks. Most of our TV and movies brainwash us in popular American culture. It changes what we buy, what we do for leisure, how we think about work, even how we speak. They even tell us what we should think is normal and what is not.

"The Muslims", by contrast, are not really on TV much (except the minority, that are on for the wrong reasons, and don't represent all Muslim people by any stretch of the imagination). They don't tell us what to eat, drink, do for leisure, think. They mostly just go about their lives, or maybe occasionally rattle the Daily Express.

I dont think its about me changing, (they wont manage that:biggrin:), its more about parts of the country becoming Muslim controlled and populated.
Of course culture does not stand still, it never has.

What if it was US controlled? Would that be any better or worse?

I just want to be UK controlled, why should we be controlled by Europe, US or any other part of the world politically, as to the religions take over of parts of the country, that is a different and separate issue.
