Winds of up to 100mph forecast for northern Scotland

Wind is starting to get gale force here now..

Leon Brown, meteorologist at The Weather Channel said: "Looks like wind speeds in the Polar Jet Stream across the north east Atlantic on Friday, running past northern Scotland to the North Sea, could exceed 250mph with a phenomenal temperature gradient in the upper troposphere as a warm plume from the mid-Atlantic meets the Arctic air over the northern Atlantic.

"These will be the strongest winds on the planet, and in the jet core could reach 270mph."

 

And i've just fixed the Greenhouse

 

Really windy here as well.

 

Blowing a gale here.

I love these chats though. Every winter. Usually around January. It gets in the news and everything. Its always windy at this time of year

 

To Date, with strong winds and horizontal rain the following damage has been done.

(1) My Door on the extension of my garden hut has been torn off the hinges.
(2) My Gate on the bin corral has been torn off its hinges
(3) My Garden Arch looks a bit worse for wear.
(4) My Bird House Feeder, which was hanging by a rope from a fence, has been wrecked. .

I spent a few hours today cleaning up and getting ready for the BIG BEASTIE..
