I think by "fudged" they mean faked, but I wasn't sure so I tried to bring them down in a British way :paladin:

I wouldn't get too worried about it Zigs. Durgan is clearly what we used to call a troll back in the days when I used to dabble with forum admin work :)

I've never tried, your PFAs look pretty well packed Zigs.
But then again, his pics look pretty much to the point also.

OK so its down to variety, ask him why he bothers growing such a poor performing spud.

                    Go Zigs go!

Years since I grew spuds but I have a photo somewhere of a plant that I grew with three or four aerial tubers growing on the stem. If I can find the stick/disc it's on I'll post it here and you can use it. If he calls me a fibber.................

I would agree with this. Of the tens of thousands of people who now use internet forums there are bound to be a few who will argue that black is white so that they can display what they see as their superior knowledge.
The hard part is trying to ignore it and not getting brought down to the level of Mr Durgan. On the other hand if you do decide to go over there and thump him, let us know how you get on. :snork:

I never had much luck with container grown spuds, but I did grow some PFA's a few years ago (I posted some pics here) in the ground, and the yield was exceptional.

Zigs, you being a fisherman should know all about trolling, he's waiting for someone to grab that flashy lure, don't get mad with him, that's just what he wants.
