On the very few occasions where it hasn't been practical to depart quickly my first instinct has been to protect my spectacles. :blue thumb: Yes! I did mean spectacles! :roflol:

When I was a teenager, a lad wearing glasses picked a fight with me in the street once. He made it clear that he intended to "smash my head in". After he'd pushed me about a bit I delivered a roundhouse kick to the side of his head, knocking his glasses off, then ran. He told on me, and got the coppers and a solicitor on it, and I had to pay for his glasses.

Less than two weeks ago, I wouldn't go to A&E because I was worried about their case load. I went to the local little hospital instead.

Seen the news lately? A&E wards across the land are in meltdown, turning people away because they can't cope.

I've just heard David Camoron on the box shouting at someone for having a go at him. DC was claiming that since he's been in power, he's improved the efficiency of the NHS and made them more cost efficient and with more front line staff. I can't understand how he can get angry at his rival for pointing his failing, when ordinary people are being turned away from the hospitals we've all paid for.

I'm not surprised - he is that arrogant.
        See this thread..............

On new years day there were just three bays being used for at most 20% of the time. When we arrived by ambulance at the emergency entrance (separate to the minor injuries walk in entrance) there was one other stretcher case in front of us. It was over an hour before we saw a doctor by which time there was four more behind us, three of them elderly. At no point was any kind of triage assessment carried out on any ambulance admissions - it was first come first served.

        This is a management failing.

          Question for y'all.

I resumed limited training yesterday. I didn't take my battle pads because I intended to excuse myself from sparring to give my hand a bit of a chance to recover a bit more.

Today, for the first time in weeks, my hand feels normal. So the question is, should I resume full training next week, or stay on limited training for another week or so?

          What do we reckon?

To be honest, Clue, are you going to take any notice of what we say? :) Our answers can only be guesses because, even if we were medically trained, we can't examine your hand.

'Feeling normal' doesn't mean it is normal. I'd be inclined to keep away from contact for some weeks - actually, if it was me it would be for ever!! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

That's kind of what I was thinking. Its why I asked for opinions. I'll avoid sparring for the next couple of weeks.
