I don't understand Java&Me? are you asking how long it will continue to grow before going dormant or before it dies?

I remember the forum Admin @Daisies had an absolutely huge plant at one point which is years old so if it's looked after you should get many years of flowers out of it :)

you can choose to continue to water and feed the plant as you would any house plant right up until October time and then reduce watering and stop feeding to encourage the plant to go semi-dormant and then after a few weeks chop the leaves back re-pot and treat it like you would a newly planted bulb or you can stop watering altogether in October and put the pot into a darkened cool area for a couple of months and then pull it out and put it back into the light and water and feed it again both methods should hopefully trick the plant into flowering for Christmas.

I think you had one last year and didn`t flower yet , I`m I right? if yes is because they are turning around let me explain better , all the one we get before xmas are coming from Brazil where is the blooming season and hot summer , as IceCouldRum explain yes you can trick them again and make them flowering before Xmas , but if you don`t they will simply turning and die down in winter and flowering at the end of August ....
