That's just reminded me of when I was a kid in bed in winter and the frost used to be on the inside of the window. No central heating then. I think that's why I hate being cold now.

That's nothing, years ago I've had it get so cold that my water tank froze, coffee left in cups overnight froze and a great lump of blue ice started forming in the porta potti tank.

Yesterday whilst it was snowing I busied myself with pricking out Chillies, Corn Salad & Canna seedlings, potting up French Bean plants, sowing more Chillies, Cannas, Corriander, Corn Salad, Spring Onions, Parsley & mini bush Tomatoes, and taking NG Impatiens cuttings. No flowers on my runner beans yet.

Went for a walk in bright sunshine at the warmest time of day. Cut some wood in the garden and fed 'our' Robin a few treats.

It can get nice and quite in the shops/car parks around this time when loads of people who spent too much money at Xmas are skint and waiting for January's payday, plus the winter heating bills and the credit card bills for December's excesses will have just arrived.

I have trouble getting motivated too. It doesn't help that most of the garden is wet clay on a slope. Skis would be more appropriate than shoes and the chances of landing on my bum about the same:biggrin:
Got to go out today, though, to wrap up a few tender plants before the next freeze arrives"snow dig"

I've tidied up a bit, but I keep looking and thinking it can wait a bit longer yet, getting the veg patch ready will be the first job :)

For now I'm enjoying feeding the birds and putting up a couple more bird boxes.

I'll be starting off some canna seed in a couple of weeks, so things will start moving after then :)

There's no great rush or panic needed yet :) :snork:
