Hit any button and there is a delay of several seconds (can be as much as 30 secs) before the action occurs.

Noticed this last night and happens when: opening a thread; replying; using the "Like" toolbar; opening sub forums; opening the smilie box.

    Just letting you know :)

I thought it was just me, just logged off to clear cookies but that made no difference. I'll put it on the list.

I've been getting the problem, on and off, for some months but it's getting worse.

Another problem that has started only a few days ago but is very annoying is the type of delay I'm getting when typing. Sometimes the forum can't keep up with my typing and I have to pause for a while whilst the letters, and words, appear on the screen.

What is even worse now is that, sometimes when typing, letters and spaces are missed out and I have to edit the whole thing. It doesn't happen on anything else I do and, peculiarly, doesn't seem to happen when typing PM's. :noidea: Maybe I'm suffering from non-PM Syndrome!! :heehee:

I've had the same issues over the last few days and thought it was my server messing around. Changing pages has been a nightmare, taking as much as thirty seconds.

Edit.....now one and a half minutes.

It's in the middle, between who ate Fat Controllers Sandwiches and who put potatoes in the kettle again?

And of course to comply with building regs, we have to have a certain amount of forum lagging to keep the heat in :)

Never mind the sandwiches, its the Jammy Dodgers I am really stinging about

On a serious note, I suspect that this laggyness (is that even a word?) is related to the other anomalies that we are experiencing, including Jenny not being able to log out. Any forum runs on software that is essentially a big database, and as I now know from building my own databases, they are fickle things - once in a while, they get a dose of dementia and need to be looked at by a database guru.

Please bear with us, and rest assured that we are not ignoring the problems :)

No hint or suggestion that any problems are being ignored :) Just bringing them to your attention - if you don't know it's happening, you can't know it needs fixing ;)

BTW: Zigs ate your sandwiches *and* your JD's ... and ... he's putting his spuds in yer kettle
(Psst! Just don't let on I told you: "Mum's" the word ;) )
