    There are a lot of places around here where the water is just below the surface and won't need much more rain to flood.

        There is some bits of land under water around here, but only the bits that usually are most winters.
        We have not had anything near the rainfall of last winter up to now.

        Same with the levels, usual winter floods, no one complains about them as it always hapens. There was a lot of use of the phrase "Not in living memory" last year though.
