Snow flurries but only a thin layer settling. Supposed to turn to rain by the afternoon. Little wind, so not as cold as earlier in the week.

5.9C at the moment. It's been raining. Lots of dark grey cloud which doesn't look promising.

After yesterday's mini blizzard, when the roads turned into skating rinks, it's brightened up. Now we have lovely sunshine and lost that biting wind. Off for a walk at lunchtime to check on the ducks.

Well the ducks were quite subdued at lunch-time, they aren't getting frisky yet and have teamed up with a coot, all signs that the worst of the weather is still to come:

Sunny and freezing here, snowed a bit early on, about -1.
Yesterday was even colder with a nasty wind, so was not best pleased to find the old jalopy had a puncture and had to spend ages freezing while I changed the wheel. First puncture in 14 years so cannot really moan, though of course, that's the first thing I did ;)

The sprinkling of snow that was on the mountain had gone this morning. We've had snow showers all day but it was to warm to settle here at 4C. The almost incessant wind is building to gale force again for the weekend.

Well, unlike Sheal the winds have dropped here for the moment but we have had rain/sleet showers in the past hour. We had snow on the ground this morning but by the afternoon it was gone and it has stayed dry right up to an hour ago. Right now the temperature is 34f and the pressure reading is 1005mbs:coffee::snork:

It is quite low now - compared with 4 or 5 days ago,

Yesterday morning we had 3" of soft snow on top of the previous evening's frozen solid 1" of snow. It was most peculiar when walking on it. Out feet went down through the 3" of dry fluffy snow and then a crunching sound and a sudden drop through the frozen 1".

                          24.3F at the moment.
