Yes , your correct, thank you Woo. It was the one rose climber that haunted me for years. the property we have for the longest time was too shady for any roses. But now with trees taken down we can start putting some in, and this was the first one I ordered, have moved it once already. Had gotten two, so it would flank the sides of the pergola, but I think the one side of the pergola holds too much water and it died. So I moved the other one up on a hill, centered next to the lilac tree to train it to climb on that. But still thinking of the greek lady. Anyway, will be getting some more other low growing rose shrubs for a slope to fill in areas this spring.

So, Woo, you were reading about Chester County, PA, USA. It is a beautiful area. Some open rolling hills, still open farm lands mostly owned by the Amish. The town, about 20 mins from me West Chester is cute, nice shops and restaurants.

Woo, This is a neat thing to do in our county every year, have not missed in 30 years. Lots of folks open up their historic homes, revamped barns to homes, new homes built to look old etc. The tour takes you though rolling hills, down windy roads, and hidden places. Several have outstanding gardens, most homes are professionally decorated which fosters ideas. The fabrics and trims used for windows and trims simply wonderful. In the first part of the day your invited to attend a "real" fox hunt, horses and riders decked out in the English garb. There is the hound house, which is opened and the hounds all gather under the master. Then off they go up and out into the hills. Several of these "horse" folks own 5 thousand or greater lands. We have a well known ranch near us call the King Ranch. Also some of the Olympia riders train not far from me. Anyway, here is the link to what my friend and I do on the first Saturday of every October.
