Zigs, Phil Sowerby lives in Pennsylvania and I don't think he bothers much about us Brits. :blue thumb:

A forecast from Transylvania would be nearer to what we'll be having :heehee:

It's been one of those bonus days today where it's been wall to wall sunshine. The ground was very hard on the fields this morning, but back to muddy by this afternoon. Did Ozzy roll around the ground when it was hard: no, he waited until we returned and it was soft and muddy to roll in
Temperature soon dropped once the sun went to bed though.

The weather turned out better than expected today. We were promised the all to familiar grey gloom but had mostly sunshine, although it was quite weak, 4C.

We woke up to a white garden this morning! We've got about an inch or so of snow, it's -1.
I shall be clearing the patio for my girls once it gets light!

The layer of snow from the weekend had just about gone but it's snowing again now and is forecast to continue for the rest of the week, at least until Sunday, with minimums of up to -7ºC .:thud:

Ours is similar to Lorea but not down to -7C.

Yesterday evening there was just the remnants of the earlier in the week four inches of snow left in sheltered places. This morning we have nearly two inches out there and the garden looks very nice again.

I think the pheasants are getting fed up with the weather and have remained in bed today, as they are usually around the feeders by this time in the morning.
