    Hiya,
Id love to grow some of those colourful, beautiful looking heritage carrots but haven't seen any in the garden centre (well, the Range, and B&Q lol) and wonder if anyone has any recommendations for buying online? I had a quick squizz on amazon but wasn't sure, so any recommendations gratefully received :)
    thank you!
    sue :)

Worth a look here too :)

If you had the time you could breed your own from the coastal wild Carrots :) Takes about 10 years :phew:

For once I was serious @philomel

Folk have bred a usable Carrot from the thin roots of the wild one in that time :)

Carrot should be Red, it was only fashion that left us with the idea that they should be Orange:doh:

Yes, it was the ten years.... Some of us can afford more time than others :old:
There are lots of wild carrots here and a number I've dug up have quite well developed roots. But I don't like digging them up because their flowers are just so beautiful :spinning:

We're not allowed to dig up any wild plants without the landowners permission. But you've set me a 10 year challenge now

Off to Burton Bradstock tomorrow to collect some seed :)

Ha ha they are a prolific 'weed' in my garden and seed around with great enthusiasm. They are everywhere decorating verges, set-asides and pastures. Please keep us updated on your project :)
