      I thought it could of been but convinced myself it wasn't as bamboo is thicker thankyou someone up by my local shop has it and thought it would look good in my garden

      Grows much thicker in the tropics, they use it as scaffolding out there.

      Can be very invasive, it'll have the patio up :yikes:

      Can you get cuttings of it if so where to cut

      Zigs could you control the root growth like sleeper border around them or will they still grow under or bust through them

      Usually propagated by root division.

      Not my field i'm afraid, I do know some are more invasive than others.

      Are they relatively cheap to buy or shoul I grow from seed

      That looks the same as the one that Sue has - aggressively invasive! Dig a deep barrier (minimum one metre) and use 10mm plastic sheets with no gaps.

        Is there any particular bamboo that is not so invasive but can be cut at later date I make decritive fences etc

        Just seen a vid about cutting bamboo is this man talking sense or is he abut dreaming lol, if this is so I will get one off my neighbour, I know the usual method is root splitting

          Can be grown in a large planter if you want to stop it taking over :)
