Didn't need to, left it under a chilli plant so the aphids dropped honeydew all over it

I never learnt to ride a bike until I was in the RAF. Just out of Apprenticeship I went on my first posting to RAF Wattisham, Suffolk and was immediately placed on a weekend duty of Fire Picket based in the Guardroom which was commanded by a Godlike, to an Erk like me, Sergeant complete with Handlebar Mustache. Halfway through the weekend the Sergeant called me, gave me an envelope and told me to take it to the Station Commander's house. So, dutifully, I took the envelope and started out to walk down the road to deliver the letter. Within seconds the Sergeant called me back and demanded to know what I was doing and pointing towards a typical heavy beast of an RAF bike told me to get on it and ride it as it would be quicker along with a few comments about an Erks intelligence. There was no way I was going to tell Him that I had never been near a bike in my Life:hate-shocked:. So I had no choice but to climb on this machine, take a deep breath and somehow I wobbled down the road and actually rode the damned thing. I guess fear of looking a fool, [often in my Life:heehee:], and fear of a Sergeant with a grand Mustache can give you new skills that you thought you'd never have.:heehee:

I learned to drive when I was forty and passed my test first time!!! I also learned to ride a bike "after a fashion" I was safe in car parks and places like that but I would never cycle along the road as I was inclined to fall off!!! What I would really like is a Trike!!! I was over fifty when I learned to use a computer.
        Good luck with the cycling.

I still think it was the Office Cat, after you'd put some of your home brew in it's milk, that caused that.:hate-shocked::dunno::cat-kittyandsmiley:

As some of you know, i've been setting up a small leaded light workshop.

                      DSCN0939.JPG

Rounded up a few tools, ordered some materials, some of which arrived yesterday.

Cut the 2 rectangles and the circle from old glass as a practice (not done glass cutting for some years)

Not done much soldering so yesterdays practice was a bit of a mess.

                      DSCN0946.JPG

                      Had another try today.

                      DSCN0948.JPG

Bit fiddly but I reckoned if I can do something quite small then bigger stuff will be easier.

                      DSCN0949.JPG

Got to work on getting the soldering tidier, but i'm learning the best temperature so I can work it for a few seconds.
