No photo's either (still can't find the camera lead for charging it up  ) but, looking promising in my garden at the moment are the crocus bulbs I planted in October and the resident rose is showing signs of life (it has gorgeous yellow blooms, so I'm really looking forward to seeing that in all its glory).

I also have a pittosporum which I brought with me and bought for my previous garden in 2012. For the two years it lived there, it was a pretty green shrub which filled a space in full sun. I put it in a tub to bring it here and it was put to one side (the *only* sunny side) and during the past 5 months it has turned the most beautiful buttery yellow. A very cheery shrub, especially on dull days like today :heehee:

        I've got ....

... a snowdrop!!!!! :hapfeet: It is the most beautiful snowdrop I have ever seen :wub2:

Why so surprised? Well, I was given some (unidentified) bulbs by a lady from the Dogs Trust shop last year when I was volunteering. They had been in the storage shed for a year :wallbanging: When I was given them, what with all the things going on in my world, I didn't get a chance to plant them  It's only by chance that the bag they were in happened to make it's way here and not be thrown out. Anyway, still not knowing quite for certain what the bulbs were but vaguely thinking they were bluebells I planted them (not really believing they would grow after such poor treatment) and now .... I have a snowdrop :wub2: There are signs that there may be a couple or three more just about to pop their heads above the soil and are definitely what my mother would call "a sight for sore eyes" :blue thumb:

A quick look around my garden, there are some things out.

Winter aconites donated by @longk thanks! They are tough little plants, I've put them in a really dry flinty part of the garden:

The grass border still looks good, brown is a colour too!

Polyanthus, most are a past their best being eaten by slugs/insects:

Winter box from @shiney's open day 3 years ago, now filling the patio with sweet scent:

Daphne is not yet out but looking very promising this year (it has taken about 5 years to settle in!):

Heathers and primrose in bloom, freshly planted dogwood (think it looks nice in front of the fence) a lil cyclamen seedling (self seeded) and dusk sky here in Coventry.
                      image.jpg
My packed out greenhouse, young acer forming leaves (exciting!), the border I worked on today, mature dogwoods looking good and a camelia being extremely true to it's label! :snork: Was a half price bargain last year and I'm keeping it potted for a while.

                          This looks good to me................

It is one of the many buds forming on my Cantua buxifolia. A really nice surprise as the plant was heavily frosted when the electrics failed at the top of the garden and I had given up on any chance of blooms this year. The rest of the plant doesn't look so good though...........
