Hi I collected some seeds from an echinacea plant last year by letting the cones go dark on the cone and then taking the seeds off. I then put them in a bag and left them. This year i want to grow them from seed so what is the best way of doing this. A lot of websites i have seen say to put them in the fridge or freezer first, soak them and then sow them. What is the best way of growing them?
Any tips or advice will be appreciated.
    :)

Hi longk if I did the baggie method with my echinacea seeds where would be the best place to put them. I could put them in my room where I grow most of my plants. Here I could put it in my new unheated propagator in a bag on cotton wool or paper towel.
Also with my propagator should I put it in the windowsill or would it still be too cold?
Any advice would be appreciated :)

How cold is your house! According to that guide it says 20°c so room temperature should be enough. No need for props with bags. Try some in compost too though. That way you'll work out what works best for Echinacea.
