:heehee: Maybe, just may be, when I'm as experienced as you (and able to grow such exotic plants!) I might even agree with you :heehee:
But I'm not and I adore them :psnp:

First time I managed to get hold of some was at Shineyland a couple of years ago. Mrs S handed me a pot forget-me-knots and wandered off muttering to any and all:
    "I can't believe someone wanted forget-me-knots!? :scratch::noidea: :rolleyespink: "

Aha! :blue thumb: I think I may even have a packet of those .... in a packing box .... somewhere

I did say "in my opinion". Reason being that they self seed everywhere and (once again) in my opinion they take up space that could be used by something that is garden worthy :sofa: Much like Primroses :sofa: Not difficult to cull, just time that I could have used productively. Three years on and I'm still plagued by them

A lady of my own heart :heehee:

And that is how most of us start  because the *other* side of that coin is: and will where you sow it be where the *plant* fancies ;) :heehee:
I've bought plants, popped them in, nurtured them and ... they have failed to romp and eventually died :cry3: Only to join here and discover I've planted them in totally the wrong place and they never stood a chance

Oh and don't forget (me not!) ... bees adore them :spinning:

Absolutely spot on! I'm not saying that I'm right.

              Bees adore lots of things.

Just a potful? I've taken sackfuls of them to the dump over the last three years!

What is your avatar then I can't make it out :what:

I'll put the forget me nots along my fence row then as will give it some colour and annoying my naturist neighbour with the humble bumble bee :roflol:

Any plants anyone recommend to plant to attract dragon flies as we get the occasional one as we have a river about 200 metres away

Why not make a "pond" out of a bucket and plant up with some water plants for the dragonflies to visit? Safer than a pond when you have young children.
One of our members created a thread on this very subject: "Can't have a pond so I'll have a bucket .. "
Love dragonflies! Plus, you may get damselflies too :blue thumb:

I agree with M, you need standing water.

The bat flower is definitely a marmite flower and I kinda like it

And it is almost the right time to begin one too. So, pop your thinking cap on and consider the container you will use and where you will site it ... then you can decide which plants you would like. Wildlife will find you.
