    Hello people.

Just wanted to check of anyone has used RO reject water for gardening purposes. If yes, please drop few notes on your experience. The RO machine produces a lot of waste/effluent with lot of salt content (from the water source). Any help / pointer in this topic would be helpful.

    Thanks,

    Karthik

RO is reverse osmosis , a filtering system for water . Possibly may be used by allotment holders here Karthik . May not be too widely used in the UK .

Reverse Osmosis. It's a way of taking out impurities and can be used to alter the PH of water. There's more to it than that, but I can't remember.
I would imagine it would be ok to use, if diluted with fresh water.

        Quite popular with certain fish-keepers.

Sorry guys I should've not written the short form :(. Yes, as Harry and Freddy said it is Reverse Osmosis. Actually here in india , we use borewell water that is quite hard for consumption. So RO is quite popular. Also, I use that water for fishkeeping :) specially delicate shrimps.

          Thanks and cheers,

          Karthik
