I am with OVO as well as Yvonne , possibly saving £20 a month on dual fuel supply . Its hard to do an eggs with eggs comparison.
I had got my annual summary from Npower showing my exact annual usage , it also confirmed I was on the best deal available . When I phoned to cancel my contract they immediately offered me a better deal ! Moved to OVO though and so far they seem very good.

Yep - our heating is all electric and the bungalow is on a suspended floor if this makes sense. Couldn't get a mains gas supply to the property.

I've also registered with the 'All Wales' collective switching scheme - I'll see which comes up with the lowest price :blue thumb: - this or uswitch.

Talking about this in work today, a guy there said the moneysupermaket/gocompare site (can't remember which one) can be used to compare tariffs and they offer an even better deal than uswitch.

I'm not so sure, Val, as staying with one company on that basis is a case of "not getting off the roundabout to get to the swings" which will leave you on the "roundabout" of paying higher tariffs than you need to. Changing over is very simple and is handled between the new company and the departing company.......very easy and means you keeping more money.:dunno::heehee:

Unfortunately we don't have the opportunity to shop around here for gas or electric. :doh:Our gas company knowing that, has started charging us for not using gas during the summer months, so we pay for something we're not using, that's not right!

I could Yvonne but I don't think it will get me very far. :doh:It was dry and warm here last year from April through to October, so the gas company decided we should pay for not using it. I'll see what happens this year and if it's the same I will take it further.

I'm not sure who's in the top seat Armandii but I know it's not my MHK (MP). I'll be doing some scouting now to see what I can find out. :)

It turns out the best price I could get from any of the big 6 - was from my current supplier. I logged onto our online account and clicked a few buttons to change tariff. Job done

I'm with Ovo and my deal is coming to an end. Instead of telling me they are switching me to their most expensive tariff, like energy companies normally do, they give you a link where you can compare your current deal with their others so you can choose the cheapest. The one I've just switched to is even cheaper than the one that's finishing. I love them and the customer service is great.
