GA I've also got wellies and essentials near the door just in case, maybe over the top but I'd rather have my feet dry at least. Hope things reamain well with you up the Welland.
I heard on Lincs Radio that Boston is probably in for it, as well as Hunstanton and Wells, so right across the Wash. Fingers crossed. The high tide is expected to start soon and go on for several hours and the wind is pretty wild around here ....

I'm wondering if others have been on today who are further up north, Sheal and Jack come to mind immediately for instance? Hope that are all okay.

Ah right Clueless, a bit of a dual thread happening, still glad to hear you're keeping your head above water up there. Hope the other northerners check in on one thread or another soon.
Power is a bit iffy here, think that is due to power cables being buffeted.

The high tides, known as 'super tides', are occurring due to the combined gravitational pull of the sun and the moon, and a longer cycle associated with the pull of planets in the solar system.

The UK is currently experiencing a peak in such increases, meaning the astronomical tide is at an 18-year peak - rising a few centimetres above an average spring tide.
