I've not had time to read everyone's thoughts but hope to catch up properly later. My only real concerns are:
1.I hope they haven't been trafficked & are now in a situation they cannot get out of, they are every young & could easily have been brainwashed!
    2. How on earth did they get through security, passport control etc? Being so young?
    3. If they are found/do come home they need to be made an example of so this sort of behaviour doesn't happen again.

I hope I've not upset anyone with my views. I will just add I feel desperately sad for the families, but I do feel that there should have been some sort of Internet 'control' going on in their houses, these girls are at a very impressionable age & have probably been offered the world only to find they are going to be married off & worse still raped, let's hope they are safe & well & come home off their own backs very soon!

Exactly, but it is always somebody else who is to blame, the internet, Twitter, Facebook, the police etc, etc,

Totally agree, though personally I would prefer it if they were not allowed back.

You are more than entitled to your opinion, not upset at all.

You haven't upset me with your views :) but I am a little bit confused at your thoughts @Beckie76 ... mainly regarding point #3 ( ..' made an example of ... ' )
If, as you raise in point #1 that, as young people they could easily have been brainwashed, surely that makes them a victim? Should we "make examples" of victims?

As you go on to say, they are at an impressionable age, possibly offered "the world" (back to brainwashing) and then you go on to say you hope they come home off their own backs ... does point #3 still stand in those circumstances? :noidea:

The likelihood of them returning off their own backs, if they have been groomed into this scenario, would likely be nil. It's unlikely to happen unless, or until, they discover for themselves that it was not at all how they were lead to believe it was going to be. By which time, they would be caught between a rock and a hard place if some suggest they do not deserve to return, or, if they did, they should be made an example of. So, if they fear staying but also fear returning: what "choice" does that give them? :noidea:

Bear with me for a moment, just getting the hang of casting off, it aint easy,............

Right,. my thoughts on the subject are that we should not spend time and money trying to get them back, they went out there on their own free will, they have seen, (possibly) or at the very least heard of the beheadings by these nutters, bearing in mind this is not propaganda on the part of the West, its bragging by the radicals, unyet they still think they want to join.

They may be young, but 15 is the new 20, they may have been brainwashed, but that only happens if you have no mind of your own, and kids have much more in the way of "attitude" these days , than they ever did.

I'd not trust such people to be allowed back into the UK.

Well said Pete, totally agree with every word!!

I doubt that IS would actually allow them to return anyway, that other group of lads that wanted to come 'home' are now in ISIS prisons that's the way these people are.

Glad the knitting is going well:heehee: crochet next?

Not really. Although they're very confident and appear very knowing their lack of understanding and inability to reason makes them more immature than previous generations.

But they don't have a mind of their own. They have gone through an education system that teaches them to remember and recite, not to understand.
And they believe that if it is on the internet then it must be true.

Confidence yes but I don't see any more attitude than I had thirty years ago. Attitude is a phase of life that we all go through.

These are Children that have been groomed/manipulated by some of the most evil self harmers on the planet.

They are now in a foreign country, vulnerable to all sorts of dangers.

If it were my Children i'd be out of my mind with worry.
