    Hi folks,

I want to buy a clematis suitable for a large pot. It will be near the south facing fence so must like lots of sunshine. I don't have a colour preference at the moment but I do like some of those that have the larger sized flowers but I'd look at others with smaller flowers too. Also I'd like one that will produce a lot of flowers on it from top to bottom. :blue thumb:

Does anyone have any nice ones growing in pots that they could recommend? :spinning:

    Thanks. :)

I have an Elsa Spath in a container. Bought it from Morrisons, Feb 2013 and it's still growing strong  Nice large flower heads.

Looks like this (not my pic though)

If you want evergreen, maybe an armandii?

how about a Nelly Moser? The flowers are out of this world and huge! Although they will fade a bit in full sun but that never bothered me ;) mine is doing very well in a pot even though its a bit neglected :sofa:

@Fern4 last but not least is

Princess Diana the flowers remind me of little Tulips amazing colour I have this but need well drained soil , slightly tender so I put a good thick bark muck around the base as it will send up new shoots if the top part dies but well worth the xtra attention
