I'm developing quite an interest in Ericaceae. Epacris longiflora is especially interesting but trying to find seed is proving difficult...........

          Great value aren't they! :)

Ah but it's not a Fuchsia, it's Epacris longiflora.
Thanks for the reminder though as I have seed for F.boliviensis somewhere which I need to sow :blue thumb:

As I can't get down to photograph the plants properly I've had to guess at the shots! :old: Being very overcast and trying to rain didn't help either. So here goes :blue thumb: :)

We have dozens of these simple Hellebores dotted around the garden. Dark purples and all shades of purple to pink.

Very few of our doubles come out early but the white ones do
                P1220811.JPG

Our garden tends to be a slow starter because we're exposed to fields front and back but some things are getting going

This camellia is quite well sheltered under trees and protected by an 8ft high laurel hedge.

And the rhubarb bed is starting to look good. This is about 10% of the bed :blue thumb:

I wouldn't think so Sheal, they're not that hardy. We had a lovely mimosa about 12ft in a big pot but lost it during that really bad winter a few years back, im still annoyed with myself over that, why didn't I put it in the shed? It would have been a tight fit but was doable and it would have saved it :gaah:

Sheal, late reply, acacia Dealbata doesn't stand up to salt or strong winds very well particularly cold winds which can scorch the leaves badly and cause bud drop.

                        Daphne odora Aureomarginata looking good.

I was given a couple of large clumps of Snowdrops from a farmer friend three years ago which after dividing into twelve have filled out nicely, two clumps are doubles.

Skimmia Magic Marlot, dwarf Skimmia which is not much bigger than when planted two years ago.

My thanks to @shiney for this Hellebore. :dbgrtmb:

He kindly gave me a clump of Nectaroscordum from his garden at last year's open day and this Hellebore got 'included' with the clump which I dug up.

It was not much more than a seedling, so it was duly potted up, grown on over winter in the greenhouse and is now flowering. :)
