We can feel sorry for their parents but I think it will "inspire " others to follow. The Devil at work,
    never far away...

I hope so too but I think the reality is not so innocent. These girls have obviously gone to what they expect to be a romantic relationship with an heroic young man and will find the truth to be far more brutal and oppressive than they could ever have imagined. They will be unlikely to be allowed to have a mind of their own much less express an opinion about anything. Much like the old westerners in the US who expressed the ideology that women were to be kept "barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen"! I pity them.

with respect Daisies , we don't know that. They could be equally aware of the consequences of their actions but proceed regardless, thinking there is glory in their sacrifice,

The only people I feel sorry for are the wonderful men who went out there to take aid to these people, the reporters who were out there doing their jobs and they butchered them!!!!!
As said before, these girls are Grade A students, they know what these people do but they want to be with them, they are just as bad, good riddance!!!

Sure, usual risks of being in a war zone, I doubt they would have gone if they knew they were going to be beheaded!!!

I could be poking a stick in a hornets nest here.
If 3 girls had gone over to Germary to join the nazi party over 70 years ago would we be kicking up such a fuss.
In my opinion, if you go to be with a terrorist organisation then you lose all right to come back to your country. Its a one way ticket.

As long as your not poking a stick in an Owls nest:heehee:I t is my personal view that you should always be allowed back in to your own country (UK)no matter what the circumstances are ,at the very least you will be treated with fairness and honesty and given the chance to be rehabilitated ;)

                Yours Sincerely

The Mitford sisters went over to actually meet Hitler, one wanted to stay on and join up - bit before my time but I would think a few more did that too.

What I cannot get my head around at the moment is that the authorities were trying to trace these girls, allegedly not knowing where they were, barring an educated guess that they had left the country and were headed to Syria.

This morning, its on the news that they are now confirmed to be in Syria - - - hang on a minute, if you don't know exactly where they are, how can you be so certain that they have now passed into Syria?

Perhaps the Turkish authorities told them? They were complaining that they could have stopped them if the UK authorities had told them about the girls earlier. The UK say they did but who knows what to believe :noidea:

Knowing the kids of today no doubt they posted their whereabouts on Facebook so would be followers will know that they have landed safely so to speak:snork:

Still don't know why our goverment is spending thousands of tax payers money trying to trace them and get them back. After all I believe the three are straight A students, but the subject they failed to get an A in was intelligence:snork:

Good Luck to them and hope they have a very happy future with their fate:mute:

Good evening we have to do something ,I think that approx 60 girls have gone from the UK to Syria,I feel that it our duty and is the right thing to do,regardless of all the whys and wherefores of the circumstances, there are times in life that you cannot just turn your back and ignore a situation,it could have been one of our children and then how would have we reacted if our government just decided to turn their back on us.

Sorry WOO  but I just had to click disagree, how could it have been one of our children? my Son knows what is right and what is wrong, he knows that being a terrorist and beheading people is not a decent way to live.
