Yesterday was such an appallingly grim day for weather. Hail, snow, sleet, high winds... no fun whatsoever! So no gardening. But I did order a wheelie bin screen, which arrived yesterday, and I put it up to disguise the bins in the front garden. This 'completes' my front garden, which this time last year, didn't even exist. :-)

Was up early sowing seeds again - linaria, more salvia, teucrium, hyssop and chinese forget me nots. Should keep the bees happy. I only need one or two plants of each. Looks like my container garden is going to be expanding! :hapydancsmil:

Excellent choice Woo, one of my favourites too. I have a mature one (sadly neglected by previous owner). One thing I would suggest if your garden is draughty is to put it in a sheltered spot if you can as they hate very cold winter winds (a hazard here in the Fens!) and can suffer leaf burn.

Enjoy them, please post a photo if you can.

Put twine up ready for the sweet peas.

Currently have some growing in the green house and have everlasting seeds that i will
                Sow direct later on.

Does anyone know when i can plant out the sweet peas from the greenhouse into the bed?

Gorgeous sun here today and got to spend a good couple of hours up at the allotment. Got lots of clearing done even with a hurty back.
Think I'll be spending the evening resting up though...

Had half an hour after work (hooray for longer days!) so I sowed some more sweet peas in the greenhouse (the first lot are germinating!) and potted up 2 bare root roses which I haven't decided where/found a place for yet.
My pink speckled hellebores (divided last spring) are flowering and looks like some daffs won't be far off now. Got loads in the greenhouse to plant out in spring.

First lot of peas are up so sowed the next lot, they been soaking for 24 hours already.

Had some old windows on the soil for a while to warm it up, sowed some Amsterdam Forcing Carrots under those.

                        Lupins have germinated :phew:

Had 1/2 hour after work, removed more turf from the lawn and found a pipe under the lawn
Not sure what it is as it's no where near the house:scratch: Only 4 to 6 inch down and metal
