tarpaulin substitute

    I want to kill off grass/weeds. We bought a mattress which had a big clear plastic covering. Could I use this or will the light getting through end up having the opposite effect?
    If so could I use it as diy polytunnels?

    The light will make seeds germinate, put layers of newspaper down under it :)

      I reckon the light will encourage growth, Sarah. Aldi is selling some cheap, but tough, black plastic weed suppression covers that would do the trick.:coffee::snork:
