Morning all. Moyra - pleased to hear there is improvement in your foot at last. Unfortunately, it still remains that "he who shouts loudest" gets you seen by GP's and by that I don't mean being loud and rude with the receptionist' I mean insisting on services (I worked on the health/social care interface for many years - odd, because it really doesn't exist in any useful form, I assure you) Getting services that Phil needs was a long uphill battle at first and even somebody like myself who knew the phone numbers, depts, even names of some of the folks I needed to escalate things found the whole process absolutely draining. I hope you don't have to go down that route, but if you do, I will help you if you wish x I wish you well x

Sorry to hear Mrs Woo has joined the legions of the sick and wish her a speedy recovery.

Shiney, are you better? I hope I haven't missed anybody out of the sick bay, if I have, apologies x

Working day again today, I think it does Phil and I both good, not healthy to be around each other 24/7 especially when one is bed bound as you end up with nothing to talk about. At least this way I bring bits of gossip home and he can tell me who's phoned or popped round etc.

My shelves that I built at my bedroom window are groaning under the strain of everything that is on there now, I provide pots, planters, tyre planters and window boxes for myself plus my neighbours on the left and the right of me (yep, I'm that sad I've spread into their areas!) in front of their houses (we don't have front gardens as such, just concrete areas.) Anyway our three houses stand out a bit with all the plants so I'm looking forward to getting new stuff out there when it's warm enough. Sadly a lot of it gets nicked, but you just have to persevere.

Anyway, good folks of GC, wishing you all a really lovely day and look forward to hooking up later with you all x x x

Maria, haven't forgotten you, Fuchsias not here yet, hopefully today as had a despatch note from EBay. Also I can't remember who wanted the Boliviana ones - they're waiting to be posted if you let me have an address please x x

          Aloha everyone,

Woo, is that because you've been overdoing it again? :th scifD36: I wish you better .

I'm gradually feeling a bit better every day :hapydancsmil: but Mrs Shiney is still rough. As her cough is so bad she's not getting much sleep, which doesn't help. I'm typing very quietly as she has only just got to sleep after coughing most of the night.

We're going out to lunch today and can't put it off. It's to celebrate two birthdays. A friend of Mrs Shiney is 80 today and her friend's best friend is 91 today. So were taking them out to a very nice/posh pub in a nearby village. The husband of the 80 year old has Alzheimers so it's also going to be a treat for all of them to get out for a change.

          Have a great day

          Aloha!

                Morning All...

Its a bit windy here this morning but dry. Yesterday was the best day of the year so far, it was like a summers day. I do like summertime up here in Scotland, the rain is usually warmer :yahoo:

Ahh well, at last I have the shed tidied. found a few things that I thought I had lost and got rid of a fair bit of junk that had accumulated over the year. All I have to do now is get rid of a pile of junk beside that shed and am then fully prepared for the year ahead.

                Have a great Thursday Everyone

                Cheers

                Nigel

                    Good morning everyone,

Shiney...Wishing Mrs S lots better:thumbsup: sounds like a lovely day out celebrating today:dancy::dbgrtmb:

Woo...What have I told you about keeping your vest on:old::biggrin:...Has Penny found your wedding ring?:fingers crossed: Go steady today (says me who's set my ribs off shovelling soil:doh:)

Nigel...Nice work getting the shed sorted:thumbsup:

Had a marvellous wander around the nursery yesterday,it's a proper hidden treasure:blue thumb: It's been there for many years but I've always stayed local to get my plants.I didn't realise what a fabulous place it was with such a marvellous selection. It's run by people with learning disabilities and what a fantastic gang of workers they are:love30:.Obviously lots of the plants are only just springing into life but I can see that place becoming my second home:dancy:I HAD to buy 12 plants:whistle: but can't plant them just yet until they get big enough to fight the chickens off:chicken::thumbsup:

Now then...rumour has it this weather is going to warm up over the next few days,I hope our local weather man has got it right but he always has a supercilious grin on his face so don't know if I trust him:th scifD36::biggrin:

Waves to all, take it easy and have a great day, take care:SUNsmile:

                      Good morning all,

Shiney, I hope Mrs. S feels better after a sleep and that you all enjoy your birthday lunches out.

WOO so sorry you have overdone things and feel rough. Do rest up today to catch up.

My foot is still slowly getting there. The heel on the foot has cracked badly, I think I overdid the cold water bathing. Lots of E45 cream on it hopefully will get it right.
Have a good day everyone, God bless.:wub2:

                            Morning all

Beautiful sunny morning here. Been up for hours and got all the usual morning chores out of the way, just waiting for the garden to defrost to see what I can be getting on with out there.

Pleased to hear your foot is getting better Moyra, here's hoping it's back to normal very soon and you can get back out with Amber again

Sorry to hear Mrs S is so unwell. Hope she manages to enjoy the birthday lunch

Sounds like a great garden centre Loli. What plants did you get?

We have an Aldi fairly local but it never seems to have the bargain plants that you get Lynda and Beckie. Though I did get a couple of small hydrangeas for a fiver last year, they don't do plug plants whenever I've been in.

:heehee: at Nigel's warm rain in summer. I remember it well, though I have to say we've been fairly lucky with the weather most of the time I've gone home for a visit.

:grphg: for Zigs whether he wants it or not

Take care everyone, hope the sun shines on you all, and have a great day
