    I potted some before the bump and it slowed them down a lot. The ones I waited for keep going and are now onto their second leaf.

      The Canna Flaccida seeds arrived today from the USA from Alice (Karchesky Canna). Looking forward to seeing how they develop this year.

        I still have Canna in leaf from over the winter in the ground... looking a little poorly, but still there.

            I'd wait until you can see a green shoot before potting up. The above ones are where I potted up at before this, bottom ones after. All germinated at similar times.

                  Checked my Canna seed I planted in modular trays and I can see a green bit poking out just about and I've checked on the rest of my baggie seeds and all but two have nice roots developing so that's a good germination rate!

                      When I was at Jaques Amand last week, they had quite a few different types of dormant rhizomes.
                      I was tempted, but have 3 Cannas already, so managed to resist. :yikes:

                        I Potted up the rest of my Canna altensteinii today 12 had sprouted roots and leaf nodules and the other 3 I just potted them up and we'll wait and see.

                            Thanks icecoldrum the one in the photo is a MUSIFOLIA GRANDE
                            And the one at the side of it in a earlyer photo is a PURPUREA but that's growing a lot slower can not wait till summer to see them in all there glory
