bit of a general tidy around , gave all the plants in the greenhouse a good drink early this morning thats another 1st since October , honeysuckle buds have already started in to growth so glad I sorted out in late October.
Best year for my snowdrops as I planted more about two years ago and they have clumped up nicely , dogs tooth violets are now all up will wait and see if they flower, 1st time I have grown them, I have planted a few here and there to see what part of the garden they like the most.
    aka Erythronium.

So sorry to hear that noisette and do hope you mend quickly :grphg:
I managed to damage my spine when I fell on my bum on a slippery slope while mowing a few years ago. It still gives me trouble which is one of the reasons I now garden using the no dig method.... So, despite having a well padded derrière, it is possible......

I've been collecting up all my pots into an old compost bin. Now I'll know where they are and they won't be blowing round the garden  And been preparing a space for my new shade tunnel. I've lusted after one for years and have found a 2m x3m tunnel with a sturdy looking frame at a really good price. I won't be putting the poly cover on it (if I did I imagine it could easily end up in Italy), but am going to order shade netting online to cover it. Then I shall be able to continue bringing plants on even in the heat of summer when my greenhouse will be too hot for anything but serious tropicals  :hapfeet:

Because it was such a Springlike day today I got the Spade, Fork, Secateurs, and mucky clothes out and finished taking the winter debris, weeds and couch grass out of the Lawn border. I went back to the area where the Dome base is going and starting digging out more perennials and bulbs. I dug up hundreds of bulbs in clumps and about 20 perennials in just one small area and there seems to be no end of them............the other problem was where to put them!! Since I was just adding to the workload I stopped digging in that area and got down on my knees and started clearing one side of the walk around border. I must admit I do enjoy grubbing around in the soil especially when the Sun is out and it's warm. I only managed to get about halfway down but filled up 7 sacks of debris which went on the Compost Heap which is getting bigger and taller!! I managed to have a sit down with a mug of tea and contemplate the borders and it was satisfying to see bare soil between the plants.
I'll be back there again tomorrow:coffee::snork:

I didn't get much done yesterday but it was the first day in the garden since being ill. I haven't done anything out there for over two months!

I've started trimming the edges of the front lawns (not my proper annual edge cutting) and cleared two bucket loads of grass and moss from one of the beds. :blue thumb: Rather difficult for me as I'm unable to crouch down

I hope to carry on today. :) It should only take me six months at that rate :heehee:

                            Hi all,

Front and back lawns cut all the edging sorted as well , amazing couple of simple jobs and it really makes a difference.

Found more Vine weevil in another pot of heuchera , over 20 :hate-shocked:, so looks like I will have to re pot all the plants and wash and trim before replanting in fresh compost , blackbird and robin happy with a free lunch.

Cut down all the old stems of the perennials, so just about catching up to @wiseowl :heehee: at last

Soaked a few seeds, sowed a few seeds. Opened up the blowaway for an airing. It's getting hot in there already. Quite a few bumbles on the crocus. They were covered in pollen. Crouched down to take a photo and couldn't get up again. This bad back malarkey is no fun. :snork:
