    This thread is a follow up to Spruces Marigold thread . It was mentioned a few times how easy Marigolds are from seed.
    To help any new starters to seed growing what are the easiest ( quick and about 80% germination ) flowers or veg to grow from seed - heated or unheated propagators. I'll start the ball rolling................

    Marigolds
    Sweet peas
    Cosmos

      Nasturtiums - really easy but they do reseed everywhere but the bees love them!

      Nigella - another easy one. These are lovely.

      Linaria Maroccana like "Northern Lights" or "Sweeties" - I love these. I direct sow into a container and thin them at they grow. Really easy and another bee favourite.

      Some perennials that are easy are Agastache Foeniculum, Linaria Purpurea and Salvia Nemorosa - all good bee plants.

        Two very easy bulbous species;

        Galtonia candicans and Allium christophii. Sow in the autumn and place in a cold frame or unheated greenhouse for spring germination.

              And once they have flowered they will self seed reliably. Add Cerinthe to this category.

              Ipomea is easy and reliable.
