    Hi All,

I am sure you are the same as me trying to find that aloof plant you have seen in a book or in a garden or on here ..... I had waited 3 years to get hold off Gnarly Gnome daylily and its now in my clutches.

As you know I am after Springtime Redhot Poker also another called "Barton Fever" found one nursery that has it but doesn't do mail order based in Coventry, also I bought the last 3 off Scorched Corn Redhot Poker two/three years ago and I have been asked where did I get them from and low and behold no one has any in stock and dont know when either.

Its a shame that these scarce varieties are so hard to get hold off or the nurseries have decided not to grow any for sale .... any one else looking

Maybe, it because they are hard to get hold of, that makes them scarce.
    Sorry,

That's crazy, I went to that nursery today! I would be happy to get you a Barton fever and post it to you if you like?

Done this more times than I can remember, spending hours online hunting down a plant/seeds only to find that the Company doesn't mail order particularly when I was into Lithops.
I sometimes used to wonder that if I walked into my local garden centre only to find that they had hundreds of them would I still want it? or is it a case of the unobtainable being the most desirable.

Constantly looking! That's half the fun. Increasingly I am looking to the southern hemisphere for seed.

Or maybe it is that they are scarce because they are fickle, short lived or less hardy than other alternatives?
