I got 5 new perennials today from an amazing local nursery. I will post a separate thread about it as it really deserves a visit.
      Astrantia jumble hole
      image.jpg
      Kniphofia alcazar
      image.jpg
      Geranium eureka blue
      image.jpg
      Centaurea jordy
      image.jpg
And chosen by the other half..trillium erectum
      image.jpg
All of these in 2-3 litre pots came to £20, they had loads of really rare perennials I've never seen for sale anywhere else.

My greenhouse has arrived! I am absolutely ridiculously excited about this! I have never had a greenhouse before and I have images of me spending hours in there pottering around and growing tomatoes and chillis and planting lots of beautiful flowers! Hoping we can get it put up this weekend and I can get cracking!

The excitement of seeing the first tomato is great! You will have hours of fun in there, I can't wait to hear more about it. I hope you get it up at the weekend :hapydancsmil:of course you will need to go to the garden centre for necessary bits & bobs! I have a thermometer, stageing, trays, dustpan & brush, clips, shading, plant pots, canes, string & many more useful bits! Do let us know when it's up :dbgrtmb:

Best you don't go out for a weekly shop any time soon if that's what happens when you pop out for butter and milk ;) :heehee:

For the first couple of years at this house I grew a Passiflora alata in the greenhouse but overwintering it was a pain so I gave it away. I regretted it so when I saw this one in Lidl for £1.99 it was a no brainer...............

                              longk,

Thanks for the offer. The Bomarea wasn't too expensive :blue thumb:

Yes, I was quite pleased with the Symplocarpus.
I have a small one already, but this is a decent size.
It is coming into leaf, so no flowers this season. Hopefully next winter.

My advice on growing this on is to grow it in a deep tomato pot for at least another year. You need a really strong and large clump of tubers to guarantee survival outdoors.
