I take it that a trampoline = children in the household...

Perhaps it might be better if the children are young to hold off the fishpond for a while for safety reasons, you can still have the sound of running water, by creating a water feature, so that the main water supply is kept in a sump pit underneath ground, where the kids can't fall in.

As to plants, even though I have a fantastic chill out corner, names of plants unless it's a fushia I'm not very good at,

 

Thanks for the advice so far, what plant should I grow up this part of the Fench? Its in the sun all of the day,

 

When I read the thread I wondered about a pond too, not really a good idea with young children but they love bubble pools and the sump is underground so no danger. Watch though that if you do go that way children want to splash their hands in all day and the reservoir can run dry and burn out the pump so always go for the biggest size - also easier to convert into a pool later. Cover with large pebbles and you can get the dry river bed look that's always so nice in Japanese gardens.

 

Also what could in plant around the clematis so that I have something to enjoy through the summer

 

If I widen the beds with the daffs what should I also plant in them through the summer months once the daffs have died off

 

Both kids are growing up fast, one now 11 and the other 6 and both very smart and wouldn't go near the pond

 

What about a honeysuckle for the fence?

 

Palms,treeferns,bamboos,water feature,shed + bbq = sorted garden

 

If it's sunny and you like the Leycesteria Formosa which Shiney posted pics of, let me know and I can send you a few baby ones. They self seed like mad in my garden from my neigbour's plant overhanging my fence. They grow quite quickly and the birds LOVE the berries.

Not many showing at the moment but give it a month or so and they'll be all over the shop.

 

Next project for the month of may and June is to turn this area into a bbq shack

 

very productive day today in the garden , I even have a plan in my head of what I want now (not bad for a none green fingered person)

so the day started with painting the fence and fitting the willow trellises and garden clock



Then we had a little trip to the local garden centre where I picked up a lovely statue, hardy lily (peach), solanum jasminoides and a honeysuckle



so I set about planting them

You're putting us all to shame--- slow down! Seriously it's looking good and at this time of year everything will grow so quickly you'll see a difference very quickly. It's good to see that you're starting with the structures, it's so tempting to just get the plants in.
