I've been outside all day! :phew: Two hour walk with Ozzy (found some new to us areas which were totally charming) then, before I'd even had a cuppa, I planted the two clematis I bought yesterday plus planted some primroses.
Next, before I had even completed my cuppa ... I decided to tackle my next project: siting my arbour.
I have completely, utterly, totally surprised myself ... I have now paved an area to stand my arbour on *and* it is in situ (I did it. I *did* it. *I* did it!!!! :hapfeet: :hapydancsmil: ) *and* ... it doesn't look half bad  No doubt I'll ache in the morning - but it was worth it :phew:

The day was warm enough to be comfortable when working outside in the garden so I started on sorting out my Nursery of around 70 pots of cuttings etc that have over wintered beside the Green House. There were some losses, but nothing excessive, and I potted on most of them into larger pots or found space for them in a border. There was one large container of young Lilies that I'd sown a couple of years ago which was in need of sorting out and that led to the two main low profile large Lily pots being emptied and refilled with new compost and the old and the young Lilies being repotted back into them. I put three small Lavenders into another large pot and placed it in the border, then I remembered a very nice perennial Poppy down by the old Bird Bath in the walk around border that wasn't doing so well in it's position. So I dug that up and positioned it into a nice spot in the Lawn border so I shall watch it with interest this season. Going back to my Nursery I found the 5 perennials that I'd bought from Poet's Cottage Nursery last year and managed to find space for them in the various borders. I also found a White Wisteria in a large pot that can go against the East Fence so that's it's facing West just by the Green House............but as I've got to replace two sections of fences with a more solid version of 16 pieces of 6' lengths of 4" x 2" timber laid horizontally between the concrete post, but that's for another day.:dunno::coffee:

Bit of time after work so direct sowed some sweet peas and put 3 sunflower seeds in pots. Pricked out some dahlias and decided to give scabious another try. Previous seeds just went white and furry? Thought perhaps the compost was too wet for them.
Deadheaded the new primroses, did a tiny bit of weeding, checked everything in the GH and fed all the tulips with seaweed feed. Hoping they'll return next year!

SSssssssshhhhhh!!! You get the code book when we send you the new GC jacket; here is @ARMANDII demonstrating it and getting a bit of garden time at the same time. As he is really 'special' ;) we let him have two.
