Watched Any Good Films Lately?

Totally agree, good actor.

 

I bought the DVD ' RUSH' the story is about James Hunt and Niki Lauder, not bad at all.

 

I just watched Defiance................


A true story and not a bad film either.

 

Yes all the more poignant for being based on real life.

Surprisingly enough, it was produced by Mel Brooks! (Uncredited)

 

I've got that recordeed on my hard drive awaiting a watch.

We watched This Is Spinal Tap yesterday. Quite funny.

 

I watched 'Meet the Parents' with Robert de Niro, first time I have seen de Niro do comedy, he is an absolute natural at it, very very funny.

 

Bad Teacher was on the other night and I couldn't be bothered to change channels. Was quite pleasantly surprised - made me laugh anyway.

 

DeNiro in a comic role in Mad Dog And Glory is very good but he is opposite Bill Murray who is a comedic god

 

Ah yes - I adore Bill Murray! Loved him especially in What About Bob? (not many seem to have seen that one).

A great guy....he prefers to hang out with non celebs.

An amusing incident that shows what he is like. He went into a restaurant and pinched a
chip from someone's plate. The person looked up and recognised him. Bill just gestured
"shhhh....they'll never believe you!"

Sorry, but I just hated it But then I rate Braindead as one of the greatest films ever so that's not saying much.

 

Having just talked about Bill Murray on this thread and posted some great music from Lost In Translation there was only one film that I was going to watch tonight..............


I never get bored of this film.

 

Half way through the film Papillon.

Watched the Elephant man finally a few days ago too. Brilliant film.

 

The wife and I saw the 2nd Marigold Hotel at the movies.
Was as good as the first.

 

Totally agree, they knew how to make good films back then.
