leylandii again...

    This always seems a bit ridiculous to me, there are rules about what height you are allowed to have a fence and what height you can build an extension to and yet HUGE trees are allowed to stay!! :dunno: I think sabotage would come to my mind!!! :whistle:

    There's no such thing as bad leylandii just bad owners;) I had a beautiful hedge of them and kept them at just under 6 feet for 20 years:smile:

      There will just be 20ft of bare trunks left when they are hacked back to 20ft.

      My leylandii hedge is 25 years old and 8ft tall.

      I think a new law is coming in in Scotland this year where a boundary hedge including 2 or more trees can be trimmed back to 2m if they are posing a nuisance.

      I may well be wrong ?

      Another good law, no tall hedges and no air guns, I always have admired the Scottish.
