    Still very cold here overnight, this was the low temp I recorded this morning. I'll be checkeing regularly and noting the difference between what I record and and the BBC temp forecast for the nearest town as there's a lot of difference between the 6degC they forecast for this morning and the minus 0.6degC on my thermometer.[IMG]

      I've got everything inside still, I'm not much of a chancer, I'd say leave stuff covered/inside until the second week of may, I'd be so disappointed if my plants got the frost. :)

        Where? Long term forecasts are frequently wrong I find.

        BBC news at lunchtime. They were talking about the weather generally and the air polution today and amongst all that mentioned there would be a return to colder weather with frosts next week

            This warm spell does give you a false sense of security,I nearly got my flip flops out ...
            @shiney ....NO:nonofinger: :biggrin:

            The forecasts are a bit hit and miss but it's better to be safe than sorry...just be prepared with fleece,news paper or anything you have to hand.It's been 28 degrees in my GH today with all doors open but here in East Yorkshire I'll guarantee it'll drop well below 10 degrees overnight
            Just be prepared...Dib dib dib:blue thumb:

                Well I just watched the BBC UK long term weather forecast for the week...they spoke of colder air but didn't mention the F word! Perhaps they changed their minds about the frost???

                  I remember getting a frost in late May a few years ago. I always remember my Dad saying that 1st June was considered safe with respect to ground frost, and that's what I go by.

                      As you know, it might well be the case that in a week or two, we wont get any more frost. It's a lottery :)
