    @bexy13
    In the past I have grown both Salsify and Scorzonera, both are edible roots. Hamburg Parsley has edible roots and the leaves like parsley. There is also the Asparagus pea, chicory, chervil and Swiss Chard.

    Hmmm..... I wonder if things are partly due to a condition from the East, known as Lackagiggleitus; this can be brought on by an easily avoidable condition called Lacka-GC-itus.

    Now, I prescribe frequent visits to this website which should help a bit. This is a dynamic therapy, which you cannot overdose on, so please ensure you use it whenever you feel the need.

    Trust me, I'm a doctor (almost, in my imagination :biggrin:)

    As for exotic plants, I cannot help - you need some of the Tropical's team I suspect - hopefully one of them will be along soon to help.

    On a serious note - if you ever need a 'cyber-ear' feel free to drop me a PM :)

      Cucamelons are interesting - I grew them last year. Quite a bit of doing not very much, and then took off as though they were on a steroid powered mission to take over the world! Climbed and wriggled their way through all sorts.

        I tried loo rolls but how did you stop them getting all fury? Mine start developing mold on them and I wonder if this is doing harm to the seedlings?

        I've had this when using loo rolls. I don't think it presents any problem :thumbsup:
