Quite sweet. The variety was big daddy. It certainly lived up to it's name. It was grown outside and in pots. It made a lot of soup thats all i can say [emoji1]

My second sowings are all now up. A bit behind but still in plenty of time. I'll be sowing my outdoor toms this weekend :)

Potted on my spare plants (backups in case my grafted plants fail), I usually use rose pots at this stage to get the deep roots but I've run out of them and also they take up lots of space so I've used plastic drinks bottles for the first time:

Nearly 400 outdoor toms pricked out

My earlier sown toms for planting in polytunnels are much larger, here's a couple for comparison

Got my early Tomatoes planted in the warm greenhouse, three Shirley and two Giant Delicious. Another eleven are in 3" pots destined for a cold greenhouse in another month or so.

Sheal, I'm glad I didn't sow as early. They are in their first 3" ( grown up ) pots and in the mini GH and are looking less leggy. I had to sow a second few of Sungold and Suncherry and my Beefmasters didn't germinate. I have 4 Tumbling toms for the kitchen window box. I'm not going so mad this year,

Some lovely looking tomato plants here, making me wonder if it's too late to sow some myself:heehee:

It's not too late Laybury, if they are for outdoors then now is the ideal time. If they are destined for the greenhouse then they will catch up - you'll just miss out on a couple of weeks of early cropping in July.
