I have bought two butterfly feeders in an attempt to attract butterfly to my garden.

Its one where you fill with sugar water and place fruit on top. Now its early in the season so guess its a bit early for swarms of butterflies, but what I wanted to know is how often I should replace water and fruit to keep the feeder effective.

    Any ideas?

Personally I'd plant a couple of buddleias instead if you want swarms of butterflies, I'm no expert but seem to think British butterflies are not great fruit eaters. Isn't that just going to attract wasps? Sorry to be negative.

I thought the same but worth a try. I have sown seeds for flowers that attract bees and butterflies. Just wanted something in the interim whilst my flowers grow.
