      If I remember ...

Its about 10 -12 eggs normally and could be less and could be more , and she will start sitting full time the day before she lays the last one , all depends how much food is available.

I know, for the size of the bird you can see how much energy it takes, it will be interesting how many yours lays which will give a indication how much feed is in your area

I should take a rotary flap wheel (or a strip of sandpaper wrapped around a stick) and round off the edges of the entrance hole. The birds feathers will take a battering with all the coming and going.:old: Best wishes, Tony.

 All is well with the Bluetits.
It's fascinating watching the saga, she lays one egg per night, she comes in at 7-45 pm. lays the egg during the night and is gone in the morning and amazingly she leaves them all day.......I always thought they had to keep them warm all the time........apparently not.
She will not sit on them continuously until they are all layed.:fingers crossed:
Here are the 4 eggs so far.

Looking good Roders, They will have just the one large brood to coincide with caterpillar emergence. Then you will have to wait for a whole year again. With such a lot of mouths to feed there are usually a couple of casualties and not all will fledge.

Have you tried that yet? It would be great for when they hatch.

I don't know how they will cope, 10 little Bluetits.
It's going to be mighty cramped.
