What's Looking Good April 2015

Im confused. Monty don says his are in an area of heavy clay soil that floods in winter and his do really well and said they are the one bulb that can cope with wet soil

I have the ones in the pot but also ones in the wetest darkest flower bed that is wet all year round because its in front of the shed so any rain runs straight into that bed.

Then my hot chocolate hydrangea is looking happy and healthy finally so looking forward to the flowers this year



And my foxgloves are becoming massive so looking forward to their flowers too

 

Fruit tree, can't remember what it is though.. think it's some sort of berry?

 

the Coronilla Glauca has gone crazy, you can hardly see the leaves and the Bees love it




Clematis Alpina just starting to flower.

I really like the Tulip 'Green Star'

And one of my 'near death' Brunnera macrophylla 'Mr Morse' has a few little flowers on confirming it is indeed white flowered!

A few more from my garden this evening.

Pieris 'Forest Flame', Brunnera 'Jack Frost' and Tiarella 'Iron Butterfly' make a nice little trio.



The two year old wallflowers are still going strong.



Plenty of Forget-me-nots in my 'semi- wild' area by the shed.



Bluebells and cowslips make a lovely combination in the wildflower patch.



In the front garden, Spirea arguta and Nandina domestica, together with a few self-seeded Forget-me-nots, make a pleasing combination.
