    I have not yet but getting close to starting some off but they will be under lights

    None sown here yet either and I only intend to grow two plants this year, three was too many to take care of last year.

    The bed for this years plants has green manure growing in it at present, and that is doing well though.

          I filed the edges on mine, soaked them and have now placed them in wet kitchen towel inside zip lock bags. Unfortunately, my soil warming cable is not working at present so cannot maintain the temps they need...struggling a little bit.

          I bet Richard has a 6 foot pumpkin tree in his house about now :snork:

            Hey there Steve sorry to here about your cables is it something you can fix are they at your allotment
            I have not even started my seed yet I'm sitting on my hands till May this year think it will be a stronger plant if it's not under artificial lights for as long

            It's a home built heated propagator Richard, made it 3 years ago in my greenhouse at home. There is a post on my blog about how I made it http://steve-randles.co.uk/PlotBlog/?p=533#comment-98

            The cable does not appear to be heating and it's pretty much a sealed thing so if it is wired to the plug correctly and has a working fuse, there is little that can be done with it.

            I can't believe how restrained I'm being this year:pathd:....not long to wait now though:dancy:....I'll be growing a couple of last years 'climbing' offspring originally from Richards giant:thumbsup:

              hi. not been on here for a while due to new work commitments, my garden got totally abandoned last year. how is everyone getting on this season? how many have already planted kins? I decided to leave it a little later this year before planting.
