I've potted up all the five varieties of Toms [about 120] for this year and put them in two large plastic deep trays [5' x 2'] and put in an inch of water. The large trays make it so much easier to water the toms and keep an eye on them:hapydancsmil: I'm only going to have 15 buckets of 3 buckets for each of the five varieties and the rest will go to the local Gardening Club sale and some will go to Shineyland.:coffee::snork:

Oooh okay then. I think I'll do a few tomorrow.
Can you recommend any nice, easy varieties? I've never grown tomatoes before!
      Thanks

Still pricking out mine as I sowed a load of old seed left over from the competition a few years back. Surprising how many germinated :yikes:

Plenty to come to Shineyland :phew:

Are these for in a greenhouse, on a patio or in a bed?

They'll be in my allotment in the ground. I have very good drainage, quite acidic soil with quite a bit of sand. It's next to a river and get's a lot of sunlight.

In that case I'd go for a blight resistant variety such as Losetto' F1 or Fandango - the reason being with a late sowing and being outside the crop will be very susceptible to late blight.

I bought Magic Mountain blight resistant tomatoes with a T&M promotional code. Otherwise they'd have cost me £1 per seedling. Sowed them about 3 weeks ago and they are romping away in the heat. I lost the end of my crop (10kg chucked away) to blight last year so definately would recommend this tactic.

My cold tolerant tomatoes that have been outdoors under a cloche got sun scorched!

Ananas noire has a megabloom out!

I bought a litre of Tomorite in Tesco today for £2.50, a good price I think. :) At the till the cashier looked at me and said tongue in cheek, I'm just checking to see if you are old enough to buy this. I couldn't believe my ears......Tomorite!

Potted up all my indoor toms yesterday, around 25 plants. Germination of the 'Black Krim's' wasn't great, but I've had the seed for a couple of years so not surprising. My sowings for the outside toms have just started showing (sown Sunday) :)

Some plant foods contain 'legal highs'. Check the label for Mephedrone, Methylone or MDPV.
