Thanks @M, hope to have it finished soon. :)

All I charge is the pollination of a plant in my garden! :)

Mostly shuffling around my pot plants, i.e. now that the grape muscari flowers are spent I have shifted that container to somewhere discreet and placed an up and coming plant in its place, i.e. in the highlighted area.

Deadheading spent dandelion flowers before they seed everywhere; spring is the best time to eat young dandelion leaves (e.g. in salads) - provide lots of nutrients and not too bitter. Cats can't easily get into my garden so I am fairly confident that the leaves are not adulterated!

....I was wondering why are small daisies seen as weeds (unwanted plants) in a lawn - they are unobtrusive and pretty? Is it just the conventional mindset to obtain a uniform certain length of green?

        Now that's a proper Des Res...Nice one:thumbsup:

Today I had written myself a list of 'jobs to do' but only did 2 jobs that were actually on the list:rolleyespink:...it's the usual case of 'I'll just plant these plants near the pond,Hmmm that'll go nice there too,ah I'd forgotten about that, ought to tidy the edges up really,I'll give it a mulch too, best put barricades up to stop the chooks from digging them up until they get settled in'

        Why do I write lists:rolleyespink:

Started my courgette, ridge cucumber and patty-pan squash seeds on damp kitchen towel in yogurt pots - when the embrio root appears I will pot up individually in 9cm pots. Using this method I'm sure of exactly how many have germinated - I do hate the instruction on seed packets " sow 2-3 seeds in pots then thin to the strongest seedling" - such a waste

a bit...if you eat enough of them, but also dandelions reduce inflammation. [IMG]

Coffee also is a commonly available diuretic, if consumed in quantity.

Hurray! My raised bed is built, placed, filled, dug over, soil improved and levelled again. I'm shattered! image.jpg This is where I got to, hoping to plant it up tomorrow. Not sure on my decisions, but figure I can move stuff later if need be. Might chop back the forsythia a little more before then.

                  Yesterday I:
Replanted my raised bed and followed wiseowl's advice on planting the roses correctly. Also added some mycorrizal fungi.
Then planted my dhalias which have been hardening off for a week.
Removed all traces of weed in the raised bed and the vegetable bed
Moved my beetroot seedlings that had been growing among the carrots (yikes mixed them up with raddish)
Then moved the salad seedlings which are growing among the potatoes. There now in neat ows surrounding the potatoes.
Pulled the earth up around the emerging potatoes
Divided and repotted my fuchsia which suprisingly survived the winter outside and then being tossed into the compost heap.
The same goes for my cannas.
Water the whole garden. This is a core. We do not have a tap in the garden and live on the first floor. So I need to drag the watercan or a bucket up and down a very tight very steep stair. And this at least ten times to water the whole garden. Not looking forward to summer.

Just done 3hrs of pricking out and potting on plus washing out the pots/trays as I go along. Having breakfast now - fried egg butty and a mug of tea. :coffee:

I do this with mine :blue thumb: It's nice to be able to "hide" plants that are spent and put something more attractive in a prime spot. :)
