Had a frost overnight, glad I spotted the warning as I managed to get my potatoes covered with fleece. It's turned into a glorious morning :)

Agree JWK, a glorious morning but OMG have no idea how cold it got last night. Have loads of damage and my veg seedlings are frozen solid under 3 layers of fleece, sob! The photos show only a little of the damage done , all the flowers/new foliage will be brown by tomorrow. If anybody is doling out tea and sympathy (mine's milk and no sugar!:)) . But hey still live in a lovely part of the world and took a photo of the sheep and lambs just to remind myself . mums garden 006.JPG

Had a couple of really good downpours over the weekend, the garden loved it.If I'd have known I'd have taken a 'before' photo but here's an after one...
Friday only the faintest hint of new growth on my Buxus by yesterday ,what a difference the rain makes:blue thumb:

Must have been -5c or below last hight as treefern lost its new fronds under protective fleece, frozen bird baths, frozen garlicbeds, and then snow this afternoon :thud:

I think the weather must be going backwards at the moment. :doh:I'm still waiting for some decent rain. There's been a couple of showers today one of which was hail but still not enough and further rain is promised until Friday, we'll see! 9C today and down to 1C tonight, I hope the contents of my greenhouse survive.

The day started off well, with bright sunshine and lots of blue skies..........that lasted a couple of hours and then one or two small clouds arrived. Within another couple of hours the skies were all cloudy, the Sun had disappeared, the temperature had dropped and the breeze was getting stronger:dunno: Right now the temperature is 38f and the pressure reading is 1025mbs:coffee::snork:

Cloudy and windy this morning. 6.3C on the thermometer. Looks like rain is forecast here for later on.

Didn't know you could be sunburnt 1 week and then frost bitten the next! Just in from deicing the windscreen on my car. Even for us up here in The North these huge extremes of temperature are unusual.

A heavy frost in the night but the sun is looking good now.

It's seven years since we had heavy snow in April. :phew:
