The soil warming cable plugs directly into a thermostat so that temperature can be controlled, so I unplugged the cable and directly plugged it into another socket, it works ok but now the heat cannot be controlled, it's the thermostat that is broken.

I contacted the manufacturers direct last week and after a few days of discussion they are sending out a new thermostat unit, free of charge. So I should be back up and running in a couple of days.

      Steve...:)

I have to start over, I cooked my seeds. Without the thermostat to control temps, they shot up to over 50 degrees. So I cooked that whole batch which included 2 seed from an 1840 GHAYE (2009 Wallace x Self) so incredibly good genetics on those two seeds.

I have my new thermostat now so I am up and running again and maintaining the temps required. Just awaiting some seed now to get going with.

                  How is everyone else's doing.....photo's?

I'm in, I started mine off at the beginning of April, I currently have around 8 plants to choose from, grown from the seed from my Largest Pumpkin last year.

My little pumpkin plants aren't dead yet, so I'm claiming at least a temporary success lol

I've just ordered some atlantic giants seeing as my current ones were only normal 'jack o lanters'.

Best get my pumpkin patch dug, how much room do these bad boys need, anyway?

No sign of life in mine yet but I was a little dubious of the seeds I'd saved, they seemed a tad too dry if you get what I mean, going to sow a few of @Richard360 originals :blue thumb:
