decided not to watch that show as the puppets creep me out and just look really gross. The advert with prince william, kate and george really put me off it.

I did watch the last leg election special and Nick Clegg again made an appearance. The first time round he got more respect from me for going on that show and taking their stick and to come on a second time. Fair play to him. Its nice when politicians come across a bit more relaxed and you see a bit more of their personality then you would normally.

Looking forward to the next one tomorrow night. it is the only election based programme im now watching and thats only because it is the Last Leg

Everybody south of The Border must be sick unto death of Scotland as so many of the debates re the general election have had Scotland (Independance, coalition deals etc) as the main topic of conversation rather than the rest of the UK's politicians focusing on their own policies. I am politiced (wonder if there is such a word?)out. It's only been a few months since the Referendum where there was a NO vote to Independance (please don't forget this fact SNP supporters!). I keep hoping Nicola will wobble off her killer heels and give me and many like me a break from the continual Braveheart syndrome. Adaquate words fail me to comment over the possibility that Alex Salmond could effective become deputy Prime Minister. Maybe his desire for this position was the reason he stepped down as 1st Minister of Scotland? Certainly he has never struck me as the noble sort "falling on his sword" and all that.

I don't normally comment on such threads, I have to say, but without causing offence to anybody, could this be an age related thing? When I was at uni I was brainwashed into thinking that it was marvellous to have huge cultural diversity and everybody will get along nicely, sharing their food, festivals and culture. I was very heavily indoctrinated as it was a psychology degree as part of my social work training and of course everybody was sooooo left of centre as that was how you had to be!

Now that I've worked hard for many years, paid my taxes, bought my home and paid it off, raised my son and cared for my disabled husband and am (very significantly) older I no longer feel the same. I live in an area absolutely saturated with Roma, 7 dogs stolen from the area last week by the same folks in the same van as before. Being spat at in the street. All our ceramic pots stolen and on sale at their stalls at the boot fair, charity shops held up AT GUNPOINT by them - can I just repeat that - charity shops (yes, honestly) Approaching a young mum because her vile, nasty toddler kicked my cat and being told "f*** off ugly prostitute" I can't help but think we went wrong on immigration somewhere. When you're young and have nothing to lose and haven't had a life enducation or you live in an area free of such things I think it's very easy to take a romantic view of what's happening. I live in the middle of it all and assure you there is nothing romantic about it at all. That's all and as I said no offence to anybody at all, but just felt strangely compelled to add my viewpoint.

PS - can I just add, whilst I have no problem with little miss roma calling me a prostitute, I was a little hurt at the "ugly" bit - I had just walked out of the hairdressers after having my highlights done and my eyebrows waxed! :roflol:

I am so sorry, I read your post several times and I'm sure it's me making the mistake here, but do you mean Medway can't be as bad as I am stating? (forgive me please, as stated, I am sure it's my mistake) I assure you I have no desire to tarnish ANY race at all, but I live here and I KNOW what it's like. If I had the money I would be out of here like a shot, but I don't. Anything I have stated in my previous post I am willing to be held accountable for and a simple search of local newspapers would confirm what I'm saying, I'm sure x x x PS My heart belongs to Dundee where my family originate from - wish I was back there tbh x x

Oooft, I'm so glad I don't have a vote any more. Guess it's who you think would least ruin the country. Could not in all conscience vote for the Scottish Nazi Party. As a previous poster said - they seem to have forgotten they lost the referendum vote and for several personal reasons I actually hate Nicola Sturgeon. She totally sold many of her constituents down the river to court the votes of a certain section of Glasgow. I think the main stream parties are unelectable. Really don't know who I'd have voted for.

Speaking as an immigrant - I have introduced my neighbours to the joys of 'first footing' and there are several converts to shortbread in my village :snork:. To be fair we pay our local taxes and for any health care we receive, have restored a derelict property that no local wanted and are not looking for any benefits so we have been welcomed into the area. Not all immigrants are bad news.

Anyone who cares that the NHS is not privatised would be well advised not to vote Tory...their NHS promises makes no mention of halting privatisation, whereas Labour does.

I've said this before .. Before the country allows hundreds of thousands of people into the UK the resources and infrastructure must be in place first. Try getting a doctors appointment these days.
In Worcester 4 or 5 consultants walked as they said they cannot cope with the weight of patients and the right care cannot be provided. This week 2 GPs took early retirement again from Worcester saying exactly the same thing.
Cameron has pledged no rises in taxes and VAT so where does the money come to improve these essential services while still tens of thousands more arrive every month .
It's clear that child tax credits and Disability benefits will bear the brunt as there is nowhere else for the money to come from.
I have no idea who to note for but there is one party who I definitely won't be voting for
