        You have to talk to them in French as their name comes from the French. :blue thumb:

              Some great advice here :)

              @fa1con - I have the option of using the tines or the blades on my scarifier; my lawn is in poor shape too (been neglected for goodness knows how many years before I got here), and feels very hard underfoot, so I am reckoning that I need to use the blades to get things aerated a bit? Should I go over it with the tines first and then go again with the blades next and if so should I wait in between processes?

              I used Evergreen 4-in-1 a couple of weeks ago which has killed a lot of the weeds and moss, but now it needs gutting out.
